Direct answer
- Early Extraction becomes available after a short period in a run and is the lower-reward preservation choice.
- Final Extraction happens at the end of a mission and pays character experience plus the team's Supplies as Credits.
- In Survival, three successful waves open helicopter extraction; two failed waves open Early Extraction.
Early and final extraction compared
| What you see | What it narrows down | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| Early Extraction becomes available during a run | A preservation exit has opened before mission completion. | Use it when saving the Responder matters more than character progression and the full Credit payout. |
| The objective chain reaches its final extraction window | The mission's normal completion exit is active. | Follow the live objective and extraction interaction to receive character XP and the team's Supplies as Credits. |
| Survival completes three successful waves | The documented helicopter extraction should open. | Move to the extraction indicated by the live objective UI. |
| Survival fails two waves | Early Extraction opens to prevent a total loss. | Decide whether to preserve the Responder, then follow the current extraction marker. |
How to call for extraction (exfil)
You do not call every extraction from one universal button or menu. Watch the current objective and map markers: use the extraction option only after the mission state opens it, then enter and complete the displayed extraction interaction. In Survival, the helicopter becomes the final extraction after the third successful wave; after two failed waves, the mode opens Early Extraction instead.
Before you start
Check the active mode, mission state and objective marker first. Extraction timing and routes are not interchangeable across every map or mode.
What to do
- Read the active objective and identify whether the mission has opened Early Extraction or the final extraction window.
- Follow the current objective and map marker to the extraction option; do not substitute a route from another map or older patch.
- Enter the marked extraction area and complete the interaction or holdout shown by the live prompt.
- If you leave early, expect no character progression and only a small portion of Credits. If you complete final extraction, expect character experience and team-Supplies Credits.

If it does not work
Do not use a route from an old video or another map as proof that an extraction point is available in your current session.
Early Extraction: preserve the Responder
Choose the early exit when keeping the current Responder matters more than finishing the mission. Official 1.0 material says it gives no character progression and only a small portion of Credits, so it is an emergency exit rather than the normal completion reward.
Final Extraction: finish the mission
Complete the active objective chain and follow the final extraction prompt. Responders who extract at the end receive character experience and Credits equal to all Supplies collected by the team, including Supplies carried by other players.
If the extraction prompt does not appear
Re-read the active objective before leaving the area. A mission may still require another objective, wave result, or extraction window. Do not use an old video or another map's route as proof that an exit should already be open in the current session.
Evidence boundary
The official 1.0 welcome material distinguishes Early Extraction from Final Extraction. Map routes and prompts require current in-game verification.
